I’m so excited that Halal Afghan Market has opened in Winston-Salem! This store has an amazing selection of authentic products that are hard to find anywhere else in the area. If you love cooking international cuisine, especially Afghan or Middle Eastern dishes, you’ll find so many great ingredients and spices here. The variety of cooking essentials is impressive and perfect for anyone who enjoys making traditional meals at home. What I especially loved is that they also carry beautiful cultural items that are part of Afghan hospitality and entertainment traditions—like elegant tea sets, tea service items, rugs, and other unique pieces that make gatherings and tea time feel special. The store is well stocked, welcoming, and such a wonderful addition to our community. Whether you’re looking for authentic ingredients, cultural items, or just want to explore something new, this market is definitely worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

They have fresh baked bread every day after 3:30pm, Halal Poultry, spices/herbs, kitchen and house Goods. Their prices are reasonable, the place is clean, tidy with friendly customer service. Let’s support our local businesses in the community🤲

Located in the strip mall on the corner of Silas Creek and Hanes Mall Blvd. A good selection of middle eastern groceries at very fair prices. They’re still working out some kinks. There is a little bit of a language barrier which is to be expected so please show patience. They offer un-toasted, middle eastern tahini which is one of the keys to making the best hummus along with fresh lemon and garlic. I’m excited to try their breads once they’re ready to bake.

The Owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The store has a wide variety of just about everything, from spices to all kinds of lentils, dried fruits, jams, sweets, cookies, teas, many different types of rice, not to mention that they have a bakery in back which serves fresh warm Afghan bread (naan), which was sooo tasty. No where else in Winston Salem makes fresh bread like they do. They also have a variety of Halal Meat , such as beef, lamb, and chicken. Prices are very reasonable in this store. You just get a little bit of everything, when you walk in , even dubai air freshners and perfumes are sold here along with other home decor. The store is very clean and neat and for sure will be my "go to "market from now on.

I will not be coming to this market anymore. So far, I have driven 30 minutes twice to shop here. According to the hours listed on Google Maps, your opening time is from 10 AM to 7 PM. One time I waited until 10:30 AM and the store never opened, and tonight I arrived at 6:30 PM and it was already closed. If you are not going to operate during your listed hours, please update your business hours or close the business instead of wasting people’s time.
